Thatcher is a founding partner at S&S Advisors and brings over twenty years of healthcare and pharmacy experience. His background is a combination of both management and pharmacy benefits consulting, working with employers and health plans across multiple geographic regions and lines of business. He has successfully negotiated contracts and deployed strategies for a wide variety of employers, from Fortune 50 clients to mid-market clients, helping them achieve large group financials and manage financial risk. Throughout his career he has procured and managed well over a billion dollars in pharmacy spend.   

In 2023 he started S&S Advisors where he can solely focus on pharmacy benefits consulting and be truly independent in the market. This new firm allows him to be completely agnostic to any solution, program or PBM and truly align in the best interest of the client based on their culture, needs and membership. His passion is using his expertise, experience, and market knowledge to help plan sponsors achieve their healthcare goals and provide benefits to their members in a cost-effective way that provides quality care.  

Thatcher has held executive level positions at several firms including Practice Leader at Confidio where he was responsible for all client strategy and delivery. Most recently he was Vice President of Strategic Markets at RxBenefits where he oversaw the growth strategy for hospitals, TPA/Multi-Employer and Private Equity.   

In Thatcher’s free time you can find him hiking in West Virginia near his cabin and spending time with his family.
